Packages & Engagements
Some work is a role. Some work is a project. Both are below, with what each includes and what it starts at.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means scope is real rather than aspirational. Every engagement below has a defined shape before it begins.
Fixed-Scope, Fixed Price
A defined outcome, a defined timeline, and a number you can put in a budget. These suit companies who need a specific problem solved, or who want to see how I work before committing to a longer engagement. For each deliverable, scope and price confirmed on a call before anything is committed.
A focused review of your existing Jira, JSM, and Confluence setup — workflow structure, permission schemes, project sprawl, reporting, and where your configuration is fighting your teams. Ends with a written findings document and a prioritized fix list you can hand to your own admin or bring back to me.
2 Weeks · 10 hours per week
A structured read of your quality practice: test coverage, automation maturity, defect patterns, release process, and accessibility exposure. Ends with a prioritized remediation plan you can execute with or without me.
4-8 weeks · roughly 10 hours per week
Workflow design, tooling, operating cadence, and reporting stood up for a team that has outgrown improvisation. Includes team enablement so the system survives after I leave.
8-12 weeks · 10–20 hours per week depending on scope
Jira project and workflow architecture, Confluence space and template structure, JSM queues and SLAs, permission schemes, dashboards, and team enablement. Built by an Atlassian Certified Professional in Jira Administration for Cloud (ACP-120).
6-10 weeks · 15–20 hours per week
WCAG conformance review, VPAT readiness, and a remediation roadmap for teams facing an enterprise or public-sector requirement they cannot currently answer.
4-8 weeks · roughly 20 hours per week
Customer discovery, opportunity assessment, and validation of a new direction or a stalled one. Ends with a decision you can defend to a board.
6-8 weeks · roughly 20 hours per week
Retained Leadership
An executive seat, held for as long as you need it. Thirteen-week minimum, then continuing month to month. Most engagements run 10 to 20 hour per week.
Quality strategy, QA organization design, test automation, accessibility, and risk management.
From $10,000/month
Typically range $10,000-$19,500
Delivery infrastructure, workflow and SDLC design, Atlassian tooling, team scaling, and delivery governance.
From $11,000/month
Typical range $11,000—$21,700
Product vision and strategy, customer discovery, roadmap, product team leadership, and stakeholder communication.
From $12,000/month
Typically range $12,000-$23,800
All three disciplines from one leader — product, quality, and delivery — working from a single view of the business.
From $32,500/month
30 hours per week
Advisory usually begins where something else ends — a fixed-scope package delivered, a retained engagement winding down, a team that has what it needs and wants continued access to judgment. A standing monthly session, review of whatever you're wrestling with, and reachability between sessions for the decisions that can't wait. For leaders who have capable teams and need judgment rather than capacity.
From $2,750/month
10–12 hours per month · no minimum term, 30 days' notice to end
Typical range $2,750-$4,125
When It Is Already On Fire
Two ways in, depending on what you already know. If you need to find out what is actually wrong, start with the assessment. If you already know and need someone to take hold of it, start with stabilization.
Two weeks to find out what is actually wrong, what it will take to fix, and whether the date you are holding is real.
Most launch crises are misdiagnosed. The visible failure — the slipped date, the defect count, the team that stopped shipping — is usually a symptom of something two layers down. Two weeks of focused diagnosis costs a fraction of stabilizing the wrong problem for a quarter.
What you get:
A written root-cause assessment that names the underlying problem
A risk register: what can still go wrong, what each item would cost, and how likely it is
A straight read on your date — including a no-go call if that is the honest answer
A sequenced stabilization plan with what it would take in people, time, and money
A verbal readout to your leadership team or board
I will flag anything that needs action before the two weeks are up. What you get at the end is a diagnosis. The point is to know what you are dealing with before committing budget to fixing it.
2 weeks · $12,000 fixed fee · Starts within 5 business days
If you proceed to a stabilization engagement, half the assessment fee is credited against your first month.
A launch weeks away and failing. A product rescue. An executive departure at the worst possible moment. Combined product, quality, and delivery leadership, engaged immediately, with a first assessment inside week one.
The quality read comes first. Defect patterns, test gaps, and what is actually failing in production usually reveal the systemic problem faster than a status report does — and the product and delivery decisions follow from what it finds.
13-week minimum · Priority scheduling · From $15,000/month
AI Governance & Assurance
AI Governance
Governance built into your delivery tooling rather than delivered as a policy document. Assessment, implementation sprint, and fractional lead engagements are described in detail on the AI Governance page.
How Pricing Works
Fixed-scope packages are fixed price. The number is agreed before the work starts and does not move unless you change the scope. If the work turns out to be smaller than scoped, I'll tell you, and we'll put the remaining time toward support after delivery.
Retained engagements are priced by time commitment. The starting figures above reflect the minimum weekly commitment for each role. Scope, complexity, and hours move the number within the stated range. More hours per week costs more; the rate does not change.
Advisory follows an engagement. It is designed for clients I have already worked with, where the relationship continues at a lighter weight. If you are starting from scratch, a fixed-scope package or a retained role is the right entry point.
Everything carries a 13-week minimum except fixed-scope packages, which run for their stated duration.
The first thirty days of any retained engagement can be ended by either side with minimal notice. My goal is value from week one. If it is not working, we part ways professionally.
Fixed-scope work often becomes the first chapter of something longer. An assessment ends in findings, and findings tend to propose work. That is a natural progression. It is never an obligation.
Assessment fees are partially credited. If a fixed-scope assessment leads to a longer engagement, half the assessment fee is credited against your first month. The diagnosis is real work, and it should not be a tax on hiring me to act on it.
Crisis engagements carry a premium. Immediate start means displacing other commitments and holding capacity open. The rate reflects the availability.
